Lilliput 7 Inch USB WVGA UM-70C Monitor Vs. Lilliput 629GL-70NP 7"

Has anyone used the usb 7". I'm trying to weight the pros and cons here. The usb screen is a little brighter (350 vs 300). But the 629GL has twice the contrast (500 vs. 250).

I'm ordering the finishing pieces to my build and I'm wondering if the extra $130+ is worth it.

What do you guys think? Any pics of functioning units would be great, esp. daytime pics.

not actual experience with it, but from what i have read: the usb lilli 7" is not touch screen(hence the $100 less..), and won't play hd videos very well, and would also take up 2 usb ports for power, and you can't see the bios.

the vga monitor-- has a touch screen(a resistive ts, so that accounts for the less light output) doesn't have a issue with videos of any format, takes one usb port for ts duties, and you can see bios...

well the 7" USB doesnt have a touchscreen. That's a pretty big difference if you're planning to use it as your primary monitor. Its also not been confirmed that you can auto-power the device when the PC turns on. Some of the newest stuff from lilliput seems to have lost that capability. I know the 629 can though.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't even think to see if it were touch. The next model up is $164 and has a contrast of 200... I'd definitely spend a couple bucks more for 500:1
