My friend's taking a while to do diagrams, so i'll just type up what i've wired here.
PSX Pin 5 - Composite Sync - Wired to CSync on VGA (Pin 13)
PSX Pin 8 - Common Ground - Wired to Red Ground on VGA (Pin 6) [nb. i intend to join all of the VGA grounds together later on]
PSX Pin 9 - PSX Blue - Wired to Blue on VGA (Pin 3)
PSX Pin 10 - +5V - Wired to DCC on VGA (Pin 9) - Needs to be connected, else the LCD doesn't power up.
PSX Pin 11 - PSX Red - Wired to Red on VGA (Pin 1)
PSX Pin 12 - PSX Green - Wired to Green on VGA (Pin 2)
This works if your video card can output CSync on pin 13 (13 is also HSync if it outputs seperate HSync / VSync).
Settings for Powerstrip (http://nakoruru.dnsalias.com/serio/l...SOne%20LCD.png):
Pixel Clock: 15.163mhz (or around there)
Composite Sync: checked
Horizontal sync: Positive
Vertical sync: Positive
Scan rate: 16.2 khz (or thereabouts)
Active: 720 pixels, 47.484 microseconds.
Front porch: 42 pixels, 2.770 microseconds.
Sync width: 96 pixels, 6.331 microseconds.
Back porch: 78 pixels, 5.144 microseconds.
Total: 936 pixels, 61.729 microseconds.
Refresh rate: 25.155hz (or thereabouts)
Active: 576 lines, 35.556 milliseconds.
Front porch: 42 lines, 2.593 milliseconds.
Sync width: 4 lines, 0.247 milliseconds.
Back porch: 22 lines, 1.358 milliseconds.
Total: 644 lines, 39.754 milliseconds.
The settings remained the same with the HSync + VSync -> CSync combiner if you use the circuit posted earlier.
Here's a hint for anyone playing around with LCDs and Powerstrip.. Since most people don't have dual monitor setups, install RealVNC on the system you're testing, and VNC in. It'll render the display back, and you can change settings without having to continually switch VGA cables, or reboot your pc...
I forgot.. the above is for the PAL LCD, not the NTSC one! See MPro's website for NTSC settings...

hey starfox, just wondering how much you picked up that ps1 lcd for? Also will this setup work with an geforce2? By the looks of the pics the image is very clear.
Thanks for the comprehensive wiring schematic, however I have a problem still! I've checked and double checked my wiring and everything is as you have it (using composite sync on pin 13). The screen is on as I can see the backlight but I am unable to switch the Radeon second output on from desktop<right click>properties/settings to on. Selecting 'extend my desktop' and then apply causes the main screen to flicker and then the second output becomes greyed out again. This happens on both my Radeon 9000 and 9700.

aphesis: I was extremely lucky and bought it for $A109, was clearance stock. I'm running it on an nForce, which is like a Geforce 2 MX, so yes it should work on a Geforce 2. You'll need to build a HSync + VSync -> CSync converter though, as Geforce 2s don't support CSync.
vikingboy: You need to ground some more pins on the VGA to make the Radeon detect the display there, i'm not sure which, i'll see if i can find out. In the meantime, plug in a second monitor and extend the display, then swap to the LCD and start messing with powerstrip.
aphesis: I forgot.. the display is quite clear, but if you build the HSync + VSync -> CSync circuit the image'll come out weird looking... it'll look something like nearest neighbour resampling.. and i'm amiss at to why this happens at the moment.
Starfox: Plugged in the gool old PCI GF2 and managed to get the LCD to display a picture, finally! Had to join pin 13+14 together though as there is no Csync support on Geforces2 by the looks of things.
Picture looked odd though, it looks like the whole of the 720*576 active pixels is being displayed taking no notice of the porch settings. If I reduce the porches I can see the picture start to fill the whole panel, however it only takes a couple of clicks before sync looses everything. Grrrr!!! :-)
I'll try grounding a few more pins to get the Rad to see the panel.

Yeah nVidia's cards don't seem to support CSync.
The picture will look bad / unreadable / scroll if you don't use a resolved or proper CSync.. Try do what i said earlier, get a TTL XOR gate and input HSync and VSync into it, take CSync out.
disabled joined csync and hsync pins (both for GF2 as I dont have HW required to make your curcuit yet).
Grounded all VGA grounds (R,G,B,Sync & Gnd!) to PS2 pin 8 (and shield), radeon still cant enable it.
I must be doing something really stupid here!
The soldering is a bloody nightmare on them VGA connectors!
