shouldn't matter, a radeon's a radeon.. and if you're getting horizontal lines then something's getting to the LCD...

sorry that i haven't posted anything more detailed, have exams coming up and been studying for them..

fujikawa23 - on the topic of third party products, this pelican screen isn't so great, the first one didn't work, so i got a second sent. the composite is funny, it looks like the red is shifted to the right by 5mm. but i kept the crapped sceen and now have a 'parts' screen which will useful for taking the dremel to...... the screen is for the DIY projector

anyways, got home from work and tested my GeForce4; doesn't have CSync but my Rage card does.

after figuring out the pinouts on the pelican input board i've gotten somewherere
    (get this the pins are arranged 1 3 5 7 9 11 12 10 8 6 4 2 )

i'm using H and Y sync tired together and connected to Green with a resistor. As per Mpro's site.

here is the image i get

what can i do to stablize things? it looks B/W........

i might try using the Csync on the rage tommorow since i'll be using the vid card ideally... it should offer better picture right?

oh there was lots of sodering involved with the pelican.
I'm gonna pick up a VGA extension cord so i can try the Rage card tonight, will inform.

how well do VGA signals travel? I'm looking at about 20' of cable between the comp and LCD and that would certainly cost mucho $$ and signal quality would probably be crap.

Is there such thing as USB - VGA card or USB - RGB? that would be pretty useful in this situation....

    EDIT -
    this sounds promising

well no luck over here.... forgot to mention that i'm using a 333 ohm resistor..

anyways with compsync, on the rage chip i couldn't get much... just flying lines.
i've played with all the settings with no luck.. i can't get the powerstrip settings to bring the pixel clock down low enough...
so far the best result has been on the GeForce4...
Composite is looking might good right about now
