Hey. I'm running on 32/24 bit colour and it's running fine (else the screenshots of anime and azubeach i have would look really horrible). Sounds a bit funny that only 8 bit colour works..??

Ah only some games support windowed directx modes.. just happens that the one i tried did.. You can usually change the settings in directx games though to make them do that.. for OpenGL stuff, tell it not to change the desktop resolution and it'll just render at whatever the desktop res is.

Just stumbled across this post today. Very interesting.
But i'm curious, no one answered SileNceR's post about whether this setup works with VIA's EPIA-M Mini-ITX mobo's

DOES ANYONE KNOW, HAS ANYONE TRIED IT?
We are, will have and forever will be...
    But not tommorrow!

    good afternoon!
I am Brazilian and I bought a LCD of 4". my doubts are:

I also do not obtain to make ATI RADEON 9500 PRO to recognize lCD. ja I made all the possible linkings.... 4 bolts 11 and also somebody ja I obtained to make the LCD to be recognized? so that they serve bolts 12 and 15 of the VGA... will be that it has relation with the recognition of the LCD?
    I thank the attention

lol, those translation programs crack me up reminds me of those instructions you get for those puzzle toys in crackers. From what i can decipher your having problems getting the screen to be recognised without swapping it with a monitor. This seems to be the problem that everyone has while their using it as a second display, from what ive read monitor recognition has something to do with grounding certain pins but i have all of them grounded and it doesnt help, im really stumped

p.s., if that wasnt a translation program i take it back, i cant write in any other languages

I did not understand! you write in some languages? he writes in portuguese! I am not obliged to know English!

    in Portuguese of Brazil:
gostaria de saber, se é possível fazer com que o LCD seja reconhecido?
comprei uma Matrox Millenium usada PCI. será que e boa? o meu LCD e da marca Foston 4 polegadas .... alguém conhece?

obs: para saber o que está escrito use o tradutor do altavista.

    obrigado!

I think the NTSC settings are like this:
    13.678mhz (or 13.678 to 14mhz).

http://lagnarok.no-ip.com/index.html thats Mpro's site with the ntsc settings, tbh i dont think theres much difference in the quality, the pal settings give a slightly higher resolution but the screens small so im not convinced the lower resolution for the ntsc settings arn't more readable.
