yup, and the fonts are good to read on tje Mpro's site, with a lower resolution. You dont have to expect great quality like the lilliputs or the xenarc screens.
Newbee, sorry for my bad english. lol

    Gday everyone
ive also got a 5" psone lcd screen
now ive got an epia mini itx board that has onboard s video which i use to connect to the ps one screen
i see the windows startup screen fine but when it gets into windows all i see is lines flickering - meaning the resolution is up to high

Hi, i've an epia motherboard too, and i want to fit the PS ONE LCD with it in my carputer project.
I've 2 question to tell you:

    1) Where i can find a PSONE LCD as a spare part ??
    2) what kind of model is your Epia ??

    Thank's a lot

If you're using a Composite signal, you shouldn't have to worry about the resolution as composite and svideo signals don't really have a fixed resolution... They should already output video in line with the display's scan rate.

Maybe you need to muck with your NTSC / PAL settings?

if hes using svideo there are no powerstrip settings as its just the tvout going into the av in on the psone screen, this isnt the same as the rgb vga mod, ive got mine running as a second monitor on the svideo out from my graphics card untill i can figure out how to get windows to recognise it as a second monitor using the vga mod. The output is ok, not as good as vga, the colors bleed a bit but it flickers alot less which some people may like.

to use the av in you just need to use a lead which converts the svideo from your video card tv out to composite (single video phono plug) and then use one of those adapters that normally converts two stereo phono leads into a stereo jack plug. One side of the adapter works perfectly for putting the video through to the screen. Then you just need to force your video card to detect tv out which fortunatly in most cases is alot easier than forcing a second monitor to be detected.

Hi sorry to just jump in here but was I just what to ask what video cards are people using to get the hack to work with vga? .This is becouse Im look at buying a new video card to replace the onbord video (Intel 82865g) as it looks as though it will not do the scan rates and so on.

Thake you for any info you give.

I use a Radeon 9600Pro , it does custom resolutions, composite sync etc, its also a great gameing card but possibly a bit overkill for a car im just running mine on my desktop pc at the moment
