And also can any one of these fit into a dodge neon? if i remove the radio out of the dash.
Apart from the model and price what is the difference in features? I want to order a screen but don't know what is the difference in features. I am new with this CarPC project.
Preassembled Black Double Din LCD Frame 7" Lilliput 629GL-70NP/C/T
Touch Screen 1
Preassembled Black Double Din LCD Frame 7" Lilliput EBY701
Touch Screen 2
those are different lcd panels, but the same mounting kit-- some like one panel over the other, though i am not sure on the differences.
also, what year neon? the images i pulled up were from a 2002 body style, ant it will definitely not fit without modification( 2000+ jeeps also had the same radio- and there are members that have modded the bezel, just check in the fabrication area).
Ok well its a 03 Dodge Neon ill post some pictures of the bezel, but i know for sure ill have to do some bezel modification to get everything to look factory. Anyone does bezel modifications for 03 Dodge Neon? If so whats the cost i am willing to pay to save me a way of learning how to fabricate and modify the bezel because i am already doing interior work to the car. Also which one do you suggest i get? The 629GL-70NP/C/T?
The radio and ac bezel panel.

Need the measurements of the diagonal across the front. It looks like it's larger than a double DIN which is good news, check out METRA for an installation kit that the screen can pop into. That' what I used to fill the extra space in my Civic.
2.5" Hard Drive 80GB Samsung 5400RPM
256 MB DDR2 PC5400
Xenarc 700TSV - VGA Monitor
Intel D945GCLF Motherboard
2005 Honda Civic
I just checked but i don't see a proper kit on Metra's website. Any other websites to check?
the diagonal measurement isn't going to help too much-- it is 1.5 din.
1 din is 7" wide, by 2" tall
2 din is 7" wide, by 4" tall
islandboi: do you have a dremel tool? if not, this is a great opportunity to get one if you really want to try it yourself.
this one at harbor freight is $10
i started off using that one, and upgraded to a real dremel a couple months later when i realized how much i used it...
and i found that thread i was talking about-- very similar radios, and install ideas:
Jeep Wrangler Lilliput 7" Install
if you feel that the fab work is a little over your head, send a pm to 'nexson' he should be able to do the fab/paint work for you.
Ok ill have to order a dremel tool, i am not in the US..ill contact nexson to see how much he charges.
Now there are two mods i wanted done to my screen/bezel for my dash before i purchase my dash kit. Can someone help me or point me to a link please. Thanks. I want to take one of those touchscreens from the links above and turn the one im using into a motorized screen also with a push-to-unlock cover. The cover is pushed to open up and it then slides into the dash making the touch screen viewable. Anyone got this mod available?
Here is an idea as far as mounting the screen. You will have to fill in the sides with bondo or something. It will look OEM if you take your time with sanding and painting...Good luck!!!
