There's no need to complaint about the little things. There are a lot more major unfair things around the world than just "damn this is POS doesnt come with auto climit control." Write a letter to Toyota and they'll put it in in the next model year. I wrote a letter to Toyota complainting about not having ABS brakes in the S-Runner in southern Cal 2 years ago when it first came out. And now its standard. And I wasnt even interested in buying it. At least your job doesnt make you take a 15 day no pay leave a month due to SARS. Imagine you only earn 800 a month then half of that. unemployment rate is over 10% so its not like "why dont you get another job" or something. In Hong Kong, a brand new car can cost up to twice as much as the US counterpart and a year old car has the resell value of 1/2 the cost of a new car. registration fees go by the size of engine not the year of car In HK. Gas here is 2 bucks a gal as pose to 6 dollars a gallon.

I'll take my manual air condition way before I pay taxes for an auto climate I get riled up sometimes thinking about all the taxes we pay here in the states, but some of you guys have to live in some countries take just about everything. It's the price you pay for civilzation, death and taxes...

Looking at bringing my car with me it is going to be daft money to import it.

To put it in perspective, my girlfriend has a LHD Clio which cost us £600, after import tax to Norway it has cost £2500 (yeah, £1900 in import tax!!), the car is worth £4000 - £5000 in Norway
My car is worth about £3000 in the UK, and about £10,000 in Norway.

im from norway to,trust me, those taxes over here are insane...

i wanted to import a 2002 mod. bmw cabrio 325 m package etc..

costs me in germany: about 36.580 $

costs in taxes to import it to norway: about 37.000 $
total price: 73.580 $

id like to see what you could get for that price over "there"


about the gasoline, 1 liters costs ca 1.28 $ here.. not sure how much pwer gallon tho..
