Thread: PIC REQ: Those with in-dash LCDs (flush mounted) NON-POP-UPs

This helped me in the UK get a cheaper 190bhp celica (GTS equivalent here is $30000 assuming $1.5 to the £1). Its tricky to explain but here goes.

The high car sales taxes in the netherlands means thats the pre-tax price is a lower than other European countries otherwise people in Denmark would hop over the border and order their cars from another country. However in the European Union countries, you can order a car from any one of them and you pay the equivalent VAT rate of the country you want the car delivered too. Since the UK doesn't use Euros yet it means the exchange rate between the Euro and the £ makes the pre-tax price even better.

I.e buy the car from a dealer in the netherlands in Euro's and then only pay 17.5% tax applicable in the UK. Meant my car cost me %20 cheaper than if I bought it from a UK dealer.
