running two touchscreens.

I had this figured out on my laptop before I installed everything into my car but I've hit a little snag.

Here's what I've got: Running Windows 7 and touchkit, 7" lilliput in the center of my dash and a 7" Shark in my steering wheel. The Lillput runs to the PC via the on-board VGA chipset and the Shark is connected via a USB 2.0/VGA adapter. I've got the displays working and the pointer moves from screen to screen just fine using a mouse. I can drag applications from one screen to the next, BUT....not with the touch screens. After running the calibration on full screen, the touch panels seem to be reversed. i.e. the steering wheel screen operates the center dash screen and visa versa.

Here's the kicker...The second monitor doesn't actually show up in the display settings. I figured the quick fix was to just check mark the "Extend display to this monitor" option but when I got into the control panel...the monitor wasn't there?

as in reinstall? Or as in which one am I using?

I was just on my way down to the garage to reinstall this driver

EDIT: I'm running the latest version of touchkit.

Reinstall. If it doesn't show up as a second screen then check your video drivers in the first place.

You can also press win + P on Windows 7 and it will toggle multiple monitors.

yup...but that only works with the display. The displays were fine (oddly enough). It was just the touchscreens that weren't working.

On that note...I did get it working. I was full out retarded for about 5 hours before I realized you had to actually SELECT the damn touchscreen controller you wanted to go with whatever monitor....

turns out it was working just fine in the first place. What can I say...I'm a noob.

Can you tell me how you went about picking the controller, then setting it up? I have been trying this for a couple hours today and just can't seem to get it to work for me.

you need to go to the "installed touchscreen controllers" page. click on the monitor mapping-- it will allow you to specify which driver/touch screen is associated with which display.
