HITACHI LCD. I give up
I have had this LCD screen (HITACHI TX18D11VM1CAA model) for a while and been looking for how to get it to come to life. When I connect it to my Lilliput controller boad it lights up, bt maintains a blank white screen.
I have searched and searched and give up now, and that's why I am asking what I could do.
What I would really like to do is to get a controller board to work with this one (although I have a spare EBY-701 controller board) OR get ribbons that wuld make it work with the spare EBY-701 controller board I have.
I tried to find the site I bought ribbons from acouple of years back digikey.com or something like that but no luck.
This screen fits perfectly into what I want to do.
I would appreciate all the help I can get.
These are images of the screen
I meant the circuit board that the ribbon from the screen goes into. Pardon my wrong use of terms.
I don't think that LCD will work with a 701 controller.
If I remember correctly, the 701 had a different Hitachi panel in it.
Of course I am referring to the old CCFL back-light style. The newer, LED back-light versions will not power tat LCD at all.
Your white screen problem is most likely the tiny PCB on the LCD panel that the ribbon connects to. They are replaceable without too much effort.
