How to get windows drivers so windows doesn't list generic lcd

    I have a Lilliput 629GL.
I have the drivers that came with it but there is only one directory on the disk and it is for touchscreen drivers. I didn't load them because they are out of date (2006) and I downloaded and installed eGlax drivers (or some name close to eGlax). Anyway, I would like windows to recognize the monitor so I can set the refresh rate to 72 instead of the default of 60hz. Anyone know where I can get the window .inf file for the monitor? I have spent hrs searching with no luck.
    Thanks in advance.

The eGlax thing does not provide the drivers for the display, it provides the driver and the calibration tools for the touchscreen overlay.

As for the display driver, I'm not sure there is one which is why it comes up as the default "generic PnP" type. In order to manipulate the resolution and the refresh rate, many people have used PowerStrip by EnTech Taiwan (google it...it'll be right on top). You'll probably have to search either this website or the forums on the PowerStrip website to figure out how to manipulate it to do what you want...because it can sometimes be a pain to figure out.

    Cheers

Indeed I have been using powerstrip and have had luck in the past getting 800x480 60hz to work but I wanted to get 72hz refresh rate. So I have been messing around with it and it will no longer set the resolution at all. I can't even get it back to the mode listed above. Very frustrated at this point. The Nvidia drivers allow me to set the mode but upon reboot it is back to 800x600. Are there other programs that may set the mode like powerstrip?

Yeah, I've been thoroughly frustrated with P-strip too. lol

Unfortunately, I am using the embedded Intel Graphics chip, which seems to be hit or miss in PS. Eventually I just gave up and left it at 800x600 and ended up getting used to it. I only notice it when I see smooshed faces on videos or pictures (which is not often). I would also be interested to know if there is an alternative to PS...
