Hmm I wonder if there is a way to disable auto config..
Did it work with another computer?

I'm able to get 640x480@60hz to work without the corruption or "auto-config" issues as mentioned above. I'm not sure if it's the GPU/driver or the display. I'll try it on a different machine this weekend.

Yeah tft thought maybe it was drivers..
Would be interested to see if you just need to get the display profile exactly right or if there is something you can set on the monitor to make it work..
But yeah try a few different computers if possible to check that.

On the Samsung? That is a 12v DC display.

I did see one reference to 5v in the documentation but that could make a difference..

Are you referring to the data sheets for the LCD panel?

Yeah that's the one, I think it might have been in reference to the backlight though..

Can you confirm that the 800x640 resolution works? I just want to make sure before I take the plunge!

    Thanks!

The voltages in that document are only for the LCD panel. The LCD controller data is not provided by the seller, but the power input for the controller is 12v DC.

The LCD panel uses 3.3v DC, and it looks like the back light LED is 5v DC.

The controller then provides the 3.3v, 5v, etc to the LCD.

I was going off the data sheet, and the reference to the 5v supply was all I could find. I'll dig up a 12v supply and see if that makes a difference.
