Any updates to the Double-Din? I'd really like to know a price.
if it's too expensive, i'll just get a by-byte frame and Derrick's open frame LCD package.
Someone posted earlier that they had drivers working for this, I DM'd him for details, but haven't heard back yet, I'm hoping that he was able to use the Ubuntu drivers with Debain, but I haven't been able to test yet, as I haven't received my R-pi yet. If you have any luck with it, keep me posted!

I was thinking that if anyone could do it, it would be 8838.com.
We've all seen the Dual View (or Split View) LCD screens in vehicles like the Range Rover where the driver and passenger see two different images. I think the panels are made by Sharp. So, 8838, what do you think?![]()
Derrick,
My screen is having issues. When I turn it on the screen just comes on white- very bright. If I try to use the buttons to bring the OSD I dont see anything. If I plug in a video source the screen stays on but only very bright white. I have checked all the ribbons on the lcd and I dont see any visual tears. The largest ribbon in the middle is what shows passes the actual video correct? Is there somewhere on the board I should look for damage? Is there something else I should do?
you need to check largest ribbon. White screen shows when its not connected good. So its lose connection, or you connected it upside down, or you broke the ribbon like I did. If its connected right, you can try to move it slow and see if you can get picture when you move it.
@Derrick: Can you find some one to make tutorial how to setup touchscreen on debian? How to install drivers if you have drivers for debian?
I figured it out. Any time the thick ribbon cable from the monitor touches the controller board the video shorts out. If the lcd touches the controller board, the video shorts out. Is this normal? Should the controller board not touch anything else?
Any questions, please email to derrick.ny@gmail.com :)
