you need to check largest ribbon. White screen shows when its not connected good. So its lose connection, or you connected it upside down, or you broke the ribbon like I did. If its connected right, you can try to move it slow and see if you can get picture when you move it.


@Derrick: Can you find some one to make tutorial how to setup touchscreen on debian? How to install drivers if you have drivers for debian?

Just ask our tech guy. We never try debian before, only has the Linux driver. will that help?

The LCD frame is metal, so it should not touch the board

Try to use a tape to cover the cable, you should be fine.

I can read 14 point type on the screen in sunlight. Not easy though but as it should be.

WoW, you have good eyes. You can do that from the driver position?

@8838 : Drivers alone wont help becouse there are too many people that dont know how to use linux and install drivers. And there are questions about touchscreens on Raspberry Pi forums everyday, because everybody wants to use raspberry pi for carpc, but they dont know what touchscreen to buy. As none have support for raspberry pi,and that makes a lot of users dissapointed.
So it would be great if your tech guys could make drivers for raspberry pi and write a tutorial for it,it will help a lot of people and sell many screen sets and new 2din sets for you. Think about it, as yoir screens will be the first to support raspberry pi.

Looks like it is one backlight with 2 layers of LCD glass. This needs to be done by LCD manufacture...

I believe it is one panel with a parallax barrier splitting up the two images.

I know Sharp makes the panel, but I don't know how to get them.
