Are we able to see pictures of the mini-itx board mounted inside the enclosure? At this stage Im not sure how hard it would be to mount a hard drive/ power supply inside. On top of that, do you utilize a smaller VGA cable? I believe from the back panel of the motherboard to the VGA input for the screen you would need a cable, the standard one is typically 1m + , so we would have a really long cable to go maybe 5-10cm?

Hi Derrick and all,

I am working through getting the screen to display at 800x480. So far I have set the custom resolution but the actual screen still seems to be stuck in 720p mode (see image below) . Any suggestions?

- using HDMI
- Intel HD2000 on board graphics with latest drivers
- Created 800x480, 32 bit @ 60hz custom res
- set this res via advanced settings
- the monitor refreshes with smaller screen (see pic)
- notification that optimal resolution is 1280x720 (see pic)
- osd of screen says 720p (see pic)

If you have any idea what to do I'd appreciate it

Thanks Meva99 for posting a link to the touchscreen drivers, I was able to get the touchscreen to calibrate and work well with them.

What I now need, is the drivers for the left buttons panel so I can program them to be of use, and program their color. Did anyone see any drivers for those buttons posted, or did anyone receive a driver with their kit?

Also, I too cannot create a working 800x480 driver for this touchscreen, it only detects at 800x600. Any tips?

I think this company was a partner of you, isn't it? When you say " I don`t see there is a capacitive version coming soon", I understand that you are not talking about Motor City Technologies.

Yes, Motor City Technologies was our reseller before, we may do business again in the future. The capacitive overlay caused some problem and we put that plan suspended...Motor City should have their own project, but it is not relate to us.

I will talk to the management and see if we can bring the capacitive plan alive, but it won`t happen soon...any updates, I will post here. hope everyone in the east will have a safe week due to the weather. take care

I got lucky and the 2 DIN computer case bolted right onto the factory radio frame of my 01 Honda Prelude. The carbon dash trim fits right over top of this screen with a bit of room to spare. I ended up not needing to use the American International trim kit that I bought and this is the end result. I might make a custom fitting for between my CF bezel and the screen to make it look 100% finished but for now it looks great as it is.

I'll take another picture of the screen up and running later today and include outer dimensions of the screen bezel if anyone needs to double check before buying. For me it has worked out well so far but it really stinks to see others having issues with it.

For the resolution I was able to setup a custom resolution under my Nvidia control panel to get the screen to display native 800x480 resolution.
