Did anyone manage to get raspberry pi working with this touchscreen? Does it work in XBMC? What linux did you use??

Hey Derrick, I think you may have some problems with your left hand button board...
I was wondering why mine wasn't working very well so I wrote a simple key logger which tells me the ascii and keycode of any key being pressed and got the following results:
I set the 6 keys as power(cannot be changed), f1 , f2, f3, f4, f5
1st button (power) does not light up nor does it register any key inputs (maybe it registers power button which isn't a key that i cant read...)
2nd button lights up and registers f4, not f1
3rd button lights up and registers f3, not f2
4th button lights up and registers f2, not f3
5th button lights up and registers f1, not f4
6th button lights up but does not register any key inputs.... :/
I also noticed that the key press is only registered when no lights are on on the button control and only after you press a key, and it lights up, it registers the key, and while the light is on, it will not register the key again until the light turns off, making it rather useless for volume up/down in real time
Also note, the side button came installed with the screen and case and i have not touched it at all
So does anyone know how to set the brightness and contrast from Windows? I want them both set to zero at night, and 100% during the day from a script.
This time of the year, I have to turn up the brightness every morning and turn it down every night.

Mine does the same thing, and I was replied that some boards were built upside down. I am only able to use the 4 inner buttons, programed upside down because of this issue. Also, I cannot program the color I want, blue. I had tried to get a schematic from Derrick, so I could fix mine, but he never replied, so when he posted boards were available a couple weeks ago, I ordered one in hopes I get a properly built button board this time.
I don't care about the cost, I just want one that works correctly so I can finish off my box.
My new Left Button Board arrived, and it works correctly. Now I can select Blue LED's and the buttons are in the correct order, from top to bottom, button 1 is a momentary switch to connect to the motherboard's power (front panel header), and button 2-6 are programmable. You can program Red, Blue, Green, White, Off, and Red+White, using a combination of the 4 programable colors, and a jumper on the board.
There is no microphone however, but you can solder on a small electret condenser type, then use the bottom micro JST header to connect it to the front panel microphone header with your own cable.

The backlight on my unit has failed. I am currently awaiting resolution/replacement from Derrick.
I will keep all of you posted.
I am also waiting to see a capacitive screen available for this unit. Everything else about it looks/sounds incredible!
Are there any options (including DIY) for a capacitive screen in these units? I love the buttons, the inputs, etc.... but I don't think I could ever deal with a resistive screen again :| Please let me/us know!
