You might like this resistive screen. It is really sensitive, and if you calibrate with a stylus, very accurate. When using a finger to navigate a front end, it's just fine. I use my fingers with Driveline, and response is instant without using any pressure, just like a capicitive screen. But unlike a capicitive screen, you can use the stylus in windows to touch those tiny file icons, where a capicitive screen would be more finicky because your fingertip covers 4 or 5 icons at a time if using a minimal working windows 8 resolution.

That aside, I would like to have a multitouch driver for this screen so I could slide screens in windows 8. The current driver acts like a mouse pointer instead of a multi touch screen.

I have a question on the left button board. I understand the top button is non programmable and serves as a on/off button. With just a USB connection, I don't quite understand how to power on the pc. I am also not able to power off. Am I missing something here?
Sorry for the late reply. for some reason we do not get update notice by email...

You are right. because this is not a multi-touch layer. so only works as a mouse

Then you find the computer power button 2 pin out from your power supply to send the momentary pulse that boots your motherboard.
    Thanks for helping!

currently I don`t see any capacitive project going on...anyway, I will update here if I hear anything

I was wondering why mine wasn't working very well so I wrote a simple key logger which tells me the ascii and keycode of any key being pressed and got the following results:

    I set the 6 keys as power(cannot be changed), f1 , f2, f3, f4, f5

1st button (power) does not light up nor does it register any key inputs (maybe it registers power button which isn't a key that i cant read...)
2nd button lights up and registers f4, not f1
3rd button lights up and registers f3, not f2
4th button lights up and registers f2, not f3
5th button lights up and registers f1, not f4
6th button lights up but does not register any key inputs.... :/

I also noticed that the key press is only registered when no lights are on on the button control and only after you press a key, and it lights up, it registers the key, and while the light is on, it will not register the key again until the light turns off, making it rather useless for volume up/down in real time

Also note, the side button came installed with the screen and case and i have not touched it at all

    Andrew.
    Sorry for the late reply

yes, few shipments came in with upside down button settle. it only make a little confuse in setting(upside down), once you finish, it will be fine.

if this is really bother you, we can replace for you. but has to wait because available quantity still keep low...
