Do you have the HDMI version? If so, does the "brightness" button toggle brightness? Mine brings up the OSD menu, but you can't do anything, must do Monitor OSD with the remote.

When I had the VGA board, the brightness button toggled 5 brightness settings, I'd like to know how to get it back (maybe I need to download the drivers/control panel app?)

Would be nice if there was a set of instructions out there for this.

I had the first hdmi version in open frame.so i only had the remote the adjust the brightness as i didnt have clean acces to the button board.from memory it was the same as what u said.5 up and 5 down.yours should have the auto dimming wire right? Am curious to know if this is preset or adjustable....

I did think the right hand 2 buttons were hardware buttons for the screen only...but the left 5 or so buttons were usb hid configurable.

What do you mean in terms of numbers?

    Hey all,

I've been looking at these for quite some time, especially the photos when they are in bright or direct sunlight. When you say in "terms of numbers" that the Lillputs are both brighter, do you mean that their specifications for brightness or luminance (greater cd/m2) are better? Or that the Lilliputs are actually brighter in real use, specifically in bright or direct sun? I am under the impression that the "transflective" technology used in these is supposed to make them more visible in direct sun than the Lilliputs. Either way, they are way more visible than the screen I have in my cheap pullout.

Your input is greatly appreciated and thanks to all who have been contributing to this forum.

    Cheers

I dont know about the lilliputs but i would say the photos that are on the ebay description are accurate for a bright day if you sitting in the front of your car looking at the screen.if it was a slightly shaded or had a bit of a hood,it would get a lot better.veiwing angles are about the same too meaning side to side its good.here in australia its gets pretty bright and hot in summer with this screen you need to pick your frontend skin carefully as some i found made it look very washed out when you crank the brightness up.i use cf4 and the stock skin was my choice.

From what little I can tell, the 2 right side buttons (power and brightness) interface directly with the board. I have a feeling the HDMI board just isn't programmed properly for those 2 buttons to work as advertised Brightness control with a touch sure would be nice.

I have a question in with the seller regarding the HDMI board and these one-touch features.
