Thread: "Transflective" LCD panel with res touch+controler for $101+$36 S+H

Hey Guys, I bought TFT's LCD (the new Samsung with the usb capacitative over lay pictured here). The screen looks great imho, and powers on with the (Somthing I really wanted with my old system) computer, its 2 finger touch, so thats cool Touch works great, and the mount he made is amazing. Having some issues with w7 boot flickering. Ill link the videos below.

Also, I'll upload some photos of the resolution (800x600) in windows 7 if any are interested. I couldn't get anything below 800x600 once I chose it.

Anyone have any Ideas how to fix the flicker issue?

Any news on a new controller?

We finally finish the design of new control board with HDMI input and corrected firmware. The all new driver board is getting into production now. It should be available in 15~ 25 days. Sorry for the waiting. We will keep updates here

Could someone let me know which Bybyte frame is the best fit for this LCD? The one I got does not fit this LCD very well and a white border is very visible.

Get out your dremel or other cutting tools and fit the LCD to the DIN frame. I made it work just fine.

Since lots of our clients asking for case. We decide to build a full case for this screen. It will also coming out soon like a month.

Our idea is making a real 7" finished monitor, which can use for DLR camera expansion. For example, Canon 5DII which makes awesome video. lol

These screens seems like they would be perfect for my installation. I'm looking to put 2 in my sunvisors, I'm using an HP G62 laptop as my car pc and it has a VGA out and HDMI out, so these new controllers they have HDMI as well as VGA or are they only HDMI? Do any of your guys know if I used an HDMI splitter out of my laptop to 2 of these screens if that would work OK? I only need one of the screen to be touch, but wouldn't mind if both were touchscreens for the passenger to play as well :-)

Will you still be offering it without the case?
I don't really care but I don't need a case and want it to stay cheap
