I would love a tablet-sized screen Maybe with an external driver box which can be hidden inside the dash if otherwise not possible. But a mini-HDMI would fit just fine...

I think it's a typo. Most likely meant to say 2A, not 2W. This would translate into 24W if it uses 12V.

Any estimates on how much the new board with cost on it's own for those who may have already purchased the panel?

Apologies as this is my first post, I have been lurking in the shadows reading other posts for quite some time (been scared to take the plunge for buying all the hardware for my very first CarPC, but have now done it!!).

Today, I purchased two of these Samsung screens off Ebay, after many email conversations with Derrick at 8838 (who has been very helpful and quick to answer my queries). He has told me that the new HDMI boards will be available mid-June, and shipping to me in the UK will take approx 6 days, so hopefully I'll see them in the last week of June. Once I do, i'll post some pics and a review of how I get on with them, if that'll be useful?

Right, im off to the front end section of the forum to figure out which OS I should try and use before I go

Ill be buying at least 1 as soon as the new board comes out. Possibly 2 more for headrests.

I'm debating on should I just wait and get the lcd and the controller together or get the panel so I can start making a case for it.
