CONFIRMED: The unit will auto on after the initial press of the power button. As long as you don't turn it off w/the button, it should come back on when power is applied.

Cool, if not I guess you could wire the power button to what ever turns on your computer

Now I am just keen to hear if you can resolve that resolution issue.
And how you though it compared to a lilliput especially a "sunlight readable" one not that you have heaps of sun but I am sure you have seen enough monitors to roughly rate it.

The seller confirmed 800x480 is supported. I guess my bench PC is in need of a new video card. Or even a new motherboard.

Well, we are blessed with lots of bright, shinny SUN today!!

Here are some pics I took just now. I used a CCD video cam. on the roof of my shop van.
Notice the brightness setting? Not bad at all for a cheap display.

I fitted it into a 701 bezel just to hold it up for pics. Notice the offset of the controller. An extension ribbon will correct this for use in a shell or DIN frame.
