Is the RCA input avi1 or 2? I keep getting no signal no matter what I do
Hi. there is a little tricky about the plugs
unlike normal AV connectors. For this cable, it is reverse: the red and white cables are for AV1 and AV2 input. the Yellow one is for Audio.
Any questions, please email to derrick.ny@gmail.com :)
Thanks and what is the plug between the usb connector and the AV connector? it looks like a small power plug.

this is a very convenient solution!
where do i wire up 12v from the PSU (PC PSU)? Straight up to the underside of the main board where the DC in plug is? or is there a special part of the board where i can easily solder in a 12v+ and - to?
I just soldered my psu wires to a power plug.
I thought I'd add in my mounting options to this thread instead of creating a new one as there might be others who could use some of what I've done.
I have a couple of kits I am planning on putting in to my van as extra DVD screens. I had all these parts laser cut at pololu.com Their prices are pretty good.
I had a frame that fits the outside dimensions of the LCD cut from 1/4" ABS. I had holes lasered through it that I tapped to have a 10-32 thread. The frame fits nice and snug into this opening.
I also made a front bezel out of 1/16" abs, with a smaller cutout made in it. This cut out is the same dimensions as the active screen area. I plan on gluing the 1/16" and 1/4" sheets together. I had hoped that the edges of the two sheets would simply need aligned and then the inactive area of the screen would be covered perfectly. As you can see in the shot below, something must not be "to print" because I get a bit of the touchscreen edge showing. I will need to investigate a bit more, and will probably remove the touchscreen as I will not be using it.
Lastly I made a small bracket on the back that will hold the control board. It has the same pattern as the 1/4" sheets holes, and then has the hole pattern for the control board). This is 1/16" acrylic (cause it is cheaper than abs, and won't be glued). I plan on attaching the board to the acrylic, then screwing it down to the 1/4" frame to hold it all together.
Of course, this can all be then molded into whatever you choose, me into the exsisting map pockets of the overhead console of my van.
I did have a question, what is the best way to glue the flat sheets of 1/16" and 1/4" ABS together? Should I rough up the surfaces and use acetone?
Tboy
