The power cord I had must've been faulty, the LCD functions 100%. Thanks for the info.

I tried soldering the 2 caps but it didn't seem to have any effect. Derrick, how much will a new controller board cost including postage? Because mine is really getting hot

weird, the tech guy told me this should work, they done the test. Did you use 1uF 0402?

If you want to get another HDMI board, we can make it 50% off plus shipping, it will be $43+ $26= $69. I don`t suggest you doing this because that board will works fine.

The Board is not written for this LCD module and the RTD2662 IC is not compatible with 15:9 aspect ratios, the IC was built for TV's not monitors. You will get close to 800x480 but with BANDING issues because of the internal scaler. The only way to get a true 1:1 pixel map is to set the display in 4:3 mode and set the resolution to 640x480. Also the EDID is only for the HDMI/DVI port not VGA. If you look at the EDID you will notice the it is wrong also, its is written for a completely different monitor. This is a poor product of someone trying to cash in on the demand for these size screens. They found a cheap board which is listed all over the Chinese B2B.
What would help us is the SVB-LT0701 in these pics http://translate.googleusercontent.c...3D68gvE_ycVYYQ

Hi, I really don`t agree what you said "This is a poor product of someone trying to cash in on the demand for these size screens". We put more than 100K and a year in this project and you think it is a "cash in"? What we trying to do is build a low cost, better working monitor for car pc and DSLR camera user.

let us make it clear here. We were selling LCD panels only before, and lots of clients require a board to driver it up, that is why we found the VGA board to sell. After receiving advises and suggestions here, also helps. We built up the HDMI board, it works better and fulfill most of requirements for car pc, either software and hardware. We can say it is a team work of this whole forum, not just us.

When the factory were designing this board. The major considerations is HDMI support and lower price. Which they did make it happen. I have no idea what the different between TV`s and monitors. But once it is display 800*480, and support HDMI for PC and camera, what is the problem? We have not seeing the banding issue with the HDMI version as you said when we using 800* 480. I have no idea what you mean. if you can, send us a photo and let us figure out.

Regarding to the EDID, as I said before, you can write what ever you want. The manufacture just put the one which will compatible and works right. We tried PC and Camera, all OK.

Again, nothing is perfect, this is just the 2nd Generation product, we still keep improving, like the REV-2 with lower temp chip. Advise or suggestion are still welcome, we are here to listen. hopefully we can finally build up a better car pc monitor, but in low price. that is our target

PS: no more LVDS version will continue to make, because HDMI is more popular and more simple in wiring for end user.
