I know I have been patience and understanding through this purchase giving the seller time to correct the problem which has not happened.
We are sorry for your un-happy experience. We know some video cards can not support 800*480 well because of the driver, since this resolution is not a standard one. Now we still don`t have a perfect solution for these video cards but we are working on it. I will keep up date here if we figure out a way.

Please download the "dot to dot" photo from the previous page, you can see the pixels from our monitor are perfectly true 800*480. We are not trying to rip or misleading anyone

I tried connecting to the vga port and clicking the av/pc button and pressing up to select vga and then pressing av/pc again to close the menu.

    But it says No Signal.

When I go back to the av/pc menu, it shows that dvi is selected. No matter what i do i can't get it to select vga :/

Can someone help. Has anyone gotten it to work with vga?

Note: The hdmi works fine but i need to use the vga port.
    Sorry for the late reply

Here is how to switch to VGA channel, or other channels:

    1. press "menu" button, the menu should pop up.
    2. select "VGA" by pressing the up and down button
    3. press "right" button to confirm, it will switch to VGA channel.

Since it design for Car-PC without showing OSD on screen when switching channel, so sometimes people though the monitor is not working or can not switch channels. Sorry for the confusing.

Next time, if you have any questions, you can also send email to [email protected]. Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

Show a picture with you using the VGA port displaying 800x480 resolution with the configuration you are using .Also stop blaming the video cards,They can show any resolution you customize standard VESA or not.The only thing that can prevent the video card from displaying the correct resolution would be if the manufacture blocked it in the BIOS like some laptops.I REPAIR video cards for a living, so I have many on hand to test your theories, and they all do the same on the VGA port on your board which has no EDID period.

    Thanks a lot it worked

One note though, I had to use the "right" button to confirm.

Again, we are not trying to "blame" anything, just try to solve. this is a known problem, you can even google online and see lot of people claim they can not get the 800*480. remember first time you contact us about the resolution. We told you, it is the video card and try other drivers.

Also, I got another solution today, please try this: delete all the monitor drivers in your computer, then restart OS. Plug in this monitor and set your own customize resolution. If the OS has other monitor driver, sometimes it can not display 800*480 well.

Anyway, following are the photos you require for (in the bottom there are 5 photos in original size, please download to see), using VGA port to show 800*480 dot to dot. for your reference. Keep in touch and have a nice weekend!

Following is the link for the original size "dot to dot" photos. they are too big to show here

    Derrick,

Is it possible to use the monitor with Canon batteries as well? You mention that the monitor is perfect for the 5D Mark II. As I have that exact camera, I would like to use the same type of battery if possible

Now we only have the adapter for Sony F970 battery, because its capacity is much bigger than camera battery. F970 can support this monitor for 6~ 12 hours usage, depends on the quality of battery

Plus, F970 is easy to locate world-wide.This is another concern when we building this case.
