Derrick, I bought one of your screens and installed it to my car. Now I have a problem for you

I have mounted the bare board onto a plywood frame and put it into the dash of my car. All of the functions of the screen (display/touch) work well, but as soon as the display turns on I see a massive drop in GPS signal strength.

Using GPSinfo for my BU-353 reciever I see ~45-50 signal strength on multiple satallites before I turn on the car PC. Once I get to windows and the touchscreen starts up I will drop almost all of the satallites and then reaquire them at only 25-30 signal strength. I don't think it is the computer, as I have kept it running with the screen disabled, but there is something with the board that is disrupting GPS.

Do you have any suggestions on how to shield the board? I have heard aluminium foil on double sided tape can be effective...

    Trigger barrel plug size

Does anyone know the inner and outer diameter for the reverse-camera trigger plug?

Also is there a minimum and maximum voltage for the reverse-camera trigger?

    Hi,

I ended up getting one of the tips from Radio Shack and it's the type "H" tip that you can connect to their stripped wire plug. I still don't know exactly what to connect however since Derrick hasn't listed any specs on the connection. I cannot tell you how much voltage is needed, only that 12V will not trigger the autoswitch.

Even the LCD power button off and running in stand-by it suddenly draws some red white and green pixels across the screen. Its like someone throwing sand all over the screen. Is this is a type of glitch?

I managed to capture how the screen behaves.

It goes red to white. Sometimes greens as well.

Thank you very much for the sizing. The "H" tip is 3.4mm outer diameter, 1.3mm inner diameter.

I'll experiment with voltage on my workbench and report back if I get it working.

What's the difference between "camera" and "pc"?
I don't have hdmi in either of them. What I have is an Android tablet with HDMI.
It works with HDMI channel (the picture is cut off but there is a picture) but doesn't with DVI (the screen flickers, looks like the monitor goes between On and OFF every 2-3 seconds)

Please specify what is the difference between HDMI and DVI "channels"
    Sorry for the holiday delay

The HDMI channel is special tuned for Canon 5D Mark II and other DSLR camera, it will have the short cut key to get into 480i which camera needs.

The DVI channel is just regular computer tuned. If you using a tablet with below 59mhz refresh rate. It may cause the flick.
