Sorry for the dark and somewhat blurry pics. I assure you everything on the screen looks bright and sharp in person. I'm still learning how to use my DSLR properly. The workmanship from tft_lcd_org and the panel from Derrick are simply outstanding!

Hi, I double check with our tech guy. The reverse trigger is a 12V input. I think the problem is you connect to the wrong AV-1 port, here is the instruction

I have mounted the bare board onto a plywood frame and put it into the dash of my car. All of the functions of the screen (display/touch) work well, but as soon as the display turns on I see a massive drop in GPS signal strength.

Using GPSinfo for my BU-353 reciever I see ~45-50 signal strength on multiple satallites before I turn on the car PC. Once I get to windows and the touchscreen starts up I will drop almost all of the satallites and then reaquire them at only 25-30 signal strength. I don't think it is the computer, as I have kept it running with the screen disabled, but there is something with the board that is disrupting GPS.

Do you have any suggestions on how to shield the board? I have heard aluminium foil on double sided tape can be effective...
I did forward to our tech guy and here is what I got reply

    1. when you connect the AC for the monitor but not turn on the monitor, is the GPS signal drops?
    2. try to find a ground to connect to the power.

The voltage for the trigger is 12V. You need to connect to AV-1 Port to get this works. the AV-2 won`t work with the auto switch

Try to have a ground with the board, also check the connection of main signal cable from the LCD

Can you please confirm that this works with straight 12v power, the monitor itself I mean. Or do I need a converter for it? I'm close to ready to buy but I need to know this before I do. I know it was in here somewhere but I can't find it, too many pages to go through. Thanks!

Yes, the monitor itself will work with 12V, 2A input
