Does this model accept the the Datalux M1023 controller card? And whats the viewing angle? I only skimmed over the datasheet and did not find it.

If so count me in. If not NM.

edit: Also do they include the backlight?

Hmmm. I assume they include the ccfls because it says 350 nits on the order site. I too have the datalux controller. This lcd has a 41 pin hirose connection, but looking at the datasheet, it has the exact same pins, just a few extra ground pins (10 extra to be precise). If anyone knows more than I do, please post!

I just compared the pinouts from my datalux LG panel and it is the same, there are just more ground pins that would have to be connected, thus a custom cable would be needed. Also, the datasheet says the ccfls are included, but no inverter.

I got an inverter for my LQ104V1DG11 from these guys...works, great.

Here's the link for the dimming inverter or the LQ104S1DG21: http://www.milesie.co.uk/asp/product...?ProductID=355

Keep in mind the pricing on their page is in pounds...should be 45 pounds (74.09 dollars...ouch) total (including shipping) to the USA (that was the price it gives me any way..)

That's the only place I know to get this inverter...any one else want to post other places to get the inverter for this?

It'd be nice to upgrade my 640x480 screen to 800x600 but I think that the controller I have (allenruble's datalux controller) is only 640x480 since it uses the 31-pin hirose not the 41-pin...oh well, about to check...but if not, hopefully this info will help the group buy.

I, myself, am interested. But reading through this, I question the compatability issues you brought up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as long as the Panel voltage is correct, and the color data bits match from controller to LCD, then it should work, right? As far as the extra grounds go, couldn't you just connect one ground from the controller to the LCD, and split of jumpers to the other grounds on the LCD? Ground is ground.

hmm good questions, So we would need to build a custom cable, the controller cannot and will not just fit in, like the sharp lq10d367? ????? will it work with the controller mentioned? hmmm

Good question about the controller resolution. I believe it's the timing that is the issue, not the color bit. If only Allen Ruble could tell us if it can support it....someone find out!!!!
The ground (all of them) can be connected to frame ground, there is no worry about that.
The inverter that fcc listed is for the LQ121S1DG31 not the lq104s1dg21. It may work, I don't have time to look into it, maybe fcc did....but the same inverter for the lq104v1dg11 should work, it's the same nits. There are some places in the US that sell them for $50. I was about to order one, I'll post info later...

Or would you all rather have the Sharp lq104v7ds01? It is a 640x480 Transflective display. Beautiful for daylight apps but it has a narrower viewing angle. I could get ten of these for roughly $93 a piece. It is a 31 pin hirose and would accept the datalux controller directly.
