Is there any debris in the corner where the cursor goes to? (as in pressing the TP)
Sounds like the TP is the problem, and you have warranty coverage for that.
Hi all
I have a month old Minitouch 700 lcd touchscreen with about maybe 5 hours on it. The touchscreen function comes and goes on it. About 50% of the time after running numerous calibrations (4 point) and linerizations (Both 9 and 25 point) it may work for a while but when it won't, the curser goes to the bottom lefthand corner and stays put. I've done it all... reinstalled the drivers twice (the one that cam with the unit), lots and lots of reboots and as I said, lots and lots of calibrations and tryed it both in and out of centrafuse. And yes, when I calibrate, it hold the stylus on the bullseye until it stops blinking. I have an email into Mocoso but I just wanted to ask the forum if this is common with these? This is my first lcd touchscreen and I'm not sure what to expect. I must say I am happy with the LCD as a whole. Nice and bright and it doesn't look to bad at 800 x 600 (IMHO) but this touch screen part is really uncool for such a new monitor. I thought it was acting flaky while I was bench testing my system. It seemed to require lots and lots of calibrations?!? Heck, not that it makes a difference but I'm even using a PS2 mouse 'cause I thought that a USB mouse may cause problems.
Any input would be great.
Thanks All
Yea, I checked the cornor for debris but again, playing with it last night, the curser wanted to go to the top left hand corner. Then it started to go back and forth horizontal while I was moving the stylus back and forth vertical. 90 degrees out of phase? Yea, I kinda think the TP may be at fault. I was going to get a different USB cable for it though.
Thanks for your input.
usually, the bezel around the screen being too tight would cause a issue like this as well.
if you still have it in the original bezel, just talk to chris about it-- there isn't much you can do without voiding your warranty, so it will probably need to be replaced.

Just to let you know I had a lilliput exhibit similar behavior even went so far as to get a new TS controller installed. It turned out it was my motherboard USB though. New motherboard and it works perfectly now. So have you tried it on other systems. unchecking "allow windows to manage power" of the USB port might help. On my problematic one it helped a tad, but still was screwy.
I am experiencing similar issues. I assumed it was the touch pannel although I don't recall having this issue prior to my mobo upgrade. I have also had other weird USB issues.
What motherboard were you using (wondering if perhaps we share the same brand/model)? Also what sort of symptoms was your touchscreen displaying.

I'll give that a try tonight.

Update...
Chris from MoCoSo emailed me and said it's the TP. He's going to get a new one in the mail for me and I'll put it in. BTW... First time I've delt with this company and so far they stand behind what they sell. Electronics are fickle at best but after sale service is what make me a frequent customer.
Thanks for all the input. I'll post the results.
