Infiniti G37 Screen Digital RGB Input

    Hi Everyone,

I need help trying to figure out the video signal used by my factory screen. This is from a 2010 Infiniti G37 with navigation. The screen uses a digital signal called digital RGB. The screen only requires 2 wires to carry the full video signal. It has a Digital RGB + and Digital RGB -. And the wires carry about 1.3 volt. Does anyone have any clues as which video signal this would be?

The first thing that came to my mind was DVI, however, DVI requires a lot more than 2 wires to carry the full video signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What's your source for this info? IF it's two wires, it should be composite.

Do a search, I tried to hack my FX35 RGBs a couple of years ago with no success, but somebody did it on an G35 or G37 don't remember, and he did using a ScanDo to translate VGA to RGBs signals (Red, Green, Blue + Sync, four wires).

Have you check the service manual? That should be your first stop.

LOL. Hi Ripplinghurst. It was me that did the integration to a G37. My post is here: http://www.mp3car.com/lcd-display/11...ml#post1384454

I'm trying to figure out a way to upgrade the screen to the higher resolution one.

I know that Infiniti G37, G35, FX older than 2009 used RGB input. However, from 2010, they upgraded the screen to a higher resolution and digital video signal. It's not a composite signal. A composite signal would range from -0.4 to 0.4 volt. However, this signal is steady at 1.3 volt. I got my information from the service manual.

Oh, okay. Two wires only? That's odd. You're thinking about getting a 2010 screen on ebay and mod it?

Im curious on this too. Even though i have an '08.

Modme, do you think hacking a VGA cable and using Powerstrip for custom resolutions/frequencies work? Rather than using the scan do 800? Just wondering what else you tried on your current setup. Also, AVS forums might be useful to check out too.
