7" Capacitive Multi-Touch wont show down press or click events?

Just got my 7" capacitive multi-touch panel the other day and must say, its much better than my 3M Micro-Touch Capacitive. But the XP drivers are lacking. Because the drivers use the press and hold function for right clicks and the multi-touch functions, It doesnt show any visual presses on the screen until after the hold delay? I like to see my buttons activate in Centrafuse and its really bugging me. You cant disable multi-touch or right clicks so not sure what to do. I dont even care about multi-touch, I just got it for the size of the panel. The drivers that are included are not ment for this panel im assuming, because there for a Lenovo IdeaPad 10.1".

    Anyone have any ideas?

If you go into the Setup part of the drivers for XP, you may be able to set the single and multi touch actions to your liking.

I already tried, it just has options for application specific commands for page scrolling, zoom, etc. I emailed Cando about different versions of drivers without multi touch and I emailed the manafacture to see if they have proper drivers but havent heard back from them. Are there unversial drivers out there that can see it just as a mouse?

Well after having a few days to mess around with the screen you dont realize how much you actually use touch and hold. I cant scroll playlists, cant slide threw the songs timeline. cant hold the volume button, have to tap, tap, tap, lol.

@tft_lcd_org. I might just have to switch to windows 7 to get this going. Could you confirm all the things listed above works normally as well as showing button presses on windows 7? Can multi-touch or right click be disabled in 7? I dont know what front end you use, but they should all work the same graphically so you should be able to see button activation.

Nope. No drivers I tried worked. I've just been living with it. Windows 7 native drivers are the only thing that works at the moment. Shame.

It's the same way with my TabletPC with multi touch. No button press showed until after I let go. Press and hold works, mind you, it's just that the "button down" event is not triggered by I don't know who.

I wonder if Centrafuse is not relying on an underlying type of touch drivers, certainly if something changed for multi touch drivers, CF wouldn't have change a thing, so if they differ, we're lost. We'll have to wait until some CF developer gets a multi touch device and realize what's happening.

No its not centrafuse. Its the manufacture of the touch panel never made proper drivers for it. They are using drivers for a totally different panel that somewhat work. It was really annoying at first but I got used to it.

When I upgrade to a faster mobo, I'll start using windows 7.
