Have a look at chalkboard electronics for a 7' cap touch..
Ive got the 10.1 from them its good...now they have trouble keeping stock but email them and see where there at with it all.
Thanks for you feedback red.
I do apologize.. You may have misunderstood what I was trying to say. I mentioned that the video was being released soon and not the actual product. Didn't mean to get your hopes up.
Did you get the 10.1 or the 7' ? The 10.1 big bezel isnt really bright enough for a aussie summer but cap touch and being a decent display and res makes up for it.win 8 freindly too
I ended up just upping the brigtness on the driverboard/windows and adding a anbient light sensor for night time..im happy enough...
Wow. I was expecting a window suction mount lol.
You made the dash to fit the screen perfect! Make sure you have a couple spare monitors in case you break one. I heard those 10.1" are harder to get now.
Really nice work! I like the monitor control buttons on the back, nice touch.
Cheers mate.it took a couple of days to get it done..and i had to loose a vent.it doesnt have a perfect shape but its a 4x4 and its the best i could do without modding the complete dash worked out well...ps ive already blown one of those screens with a incorrect hookup with the backlight board...you any good at repairs?
camo.b, how do you like the touchscreen? I'm looking closely at their 7" capacitive multi-touch now because of your suggestion and pictures. I noticed it says it's multi-touch only with an additional driver, did you do this and is it easy enough to do (IE: They supply drivers)? Also, does the bezel cut off any corners of the picture? Looking at the open frame picture and the one with the bezel side by side they both look like the same width/height, only the bezel covering up some of the screen (I know the dimensions say the "active area" is the same on both).
