That was my next question, if you could do a custom size with the overlay. I believe my double din opening is 4.25" x 7.5". Unfortunately I just purchased another capacitive touch panel, and im really just interested in a the overlay. How does that work exactly, because I was under the impression your finger has to come in direct contact for it to work? Is it bonded to the touch panel or just sits on top?
The tempered glass is already bonded to the touch panel, this then sits on top of you current LCD monitor like any other touchscreen. My small touchscreen controller then sits flush behind your LCD :)

So its not economically viable to have a different size/thickness for every type of capacitive panel. Also, my touch controller is only compatible with my touchscreen so it will not work with other panels.
So a custom overlay for your particular touchscreen might prove to be quite expensive.
I hope this helps :)
I see. How thick is the tempered glass in this setup? One of the reason's I got my new panel was because my old 3M one was so thick, and after attaching it to the LCD and bezel, the LCD was 1/2" deep making the image look farther away then it should. In the image above the glass doesnt look totally clear. Also can the right click function be disabled using windows XP? Thanks.
Thickness are as follows:
Tempered glass : 0.7mm
Capacitive panel: 0.6mm
That picture was taken on a piece of paper, its 100% crystal clear :)
With the right click function I can activate it by either:
- Click n hold
- Hold one finger then momentarily tap second finger
- Or disabled
If you have a custom request for right click, I could do that also. e.g "Swipe left in TOP region" with 2,3,4 or 5 fingers.
Firmware is upgradable over USB so I can add it anytime :)
Ooops, I will try to be consistent and use my customGadz name from now on (Had some moderator issues for some reason).
So this will work as a direct replacement for the Lilliput. hmmm im interested
As noted in the specs this touchpanel has a 16:9 aspect ratio, but lilliput has 4:3. If everything you watch and do is in a 16:9 format then you wont have any cropping of the display. If you notice, when you are viewing at 16:9 on the lilliput you actually have a bit of the top and the bottom of the LCD not used.
As long as right click can be disabled should work ok. Thanks again.
The challenging bit is adding features, not disabling them.
