    Resolution Question??

Well i was wondering the difference between 800 x 600 and 800 x 480. On a 7" LCD which will look better? Would i have any issues running programs at 800x600 rather than 800x480? Im looking to get a lilliput 669 screen and dont want to run into any compatibility issues with software and such.

800x480 is a common Native resolution among 7" monitors such as the 669/701, the minitouch 700, etc (the mini and 669hb both use the exact same LCD panel).

If your PC can support 800x480 output, then you will notice perfect circles, where as 800x600 will slightly flatten a circle.

The Lilliput monitors do not accept 800x480 input, but they scale 800x600 to fit the LCD's native 800x480 res. That is why you see the circle issues I mentioned.

Nothing that you will easily notice, or that will have any major effect on your front end, etc.

both have free versions(rr is completely free)-- the easiest way to figure out the 'best' is to download the 2, and play around with them

Sounds great. Ill def look at both of them and see what i like the best. I like convenient button layouts, features, and the ability to customize some things here and there.
