powering the xenarc 805tsv with regulated 12vdc?

I have the xenarc 805tsv on my carpc system. I am using the Opus 360W ps for the motherboard. I am running the power supply in push button mode. (On at all times) When the pc goes into sleep mode, the ps turns off all regulated power to the motherboard. Hence, my problem begins....
I want to have my xenarc run off of the 12vdc REGULATED power leads (yellow), but there is no 12vdc on these leads when the pc is in "sleep" mode. Right now I have the screen plugged into the cigarette lighter plug (Not regulated). I know that the xenarc has to have power (12vdc) to the screen for the touchscreen controller to work (Even though the controller is 5vdc) I really don't want to "hack" the controller board inside the xenarc, so is there any way I can have 12vdc regulated power for the screen?
    I am running Windows7 Ultimate.

Last I checked, Xenarc screens have a built-in regulator, so they don't require a regulated 12v power source.

I guess the question is why you want/need to power the Xenarc from a regulated source.

From what I have read, the regulator in the xenarc's can only handle up to 14 volts.... anything over that will eventually fry it. I want to use the regulated 12v voltage from my opus, but when the pc is in sleep mode, the 12volt is suspended. If the 12v is suspended, then touching the screen will not bring the pc out of sleep mode. The xenarc's have to have 12v to the screen in order for the touchscreen controller to work. (even though the usb is 5volt) Very bad engineering if you ask me. I need to have an EXTERNAL regulated 12vdc source solely for the xenarc.

ok, search ebay-- there are a couple relatively cheap buck-boost converters that should fit the bill.

Last I checked on Xenarc's website, the 805TSV has an input voltage range of 9v-30vDC.

If the Xenarc will be damaged by greater than 14DC, then they are putting out false information and could/should/would be held liable.
