Should i get the ones from lilliput website?

Are they different?

I also tried the xenarc drivers but they didnt register my touch

Your computer has the same stuff as mine almost. hmm so your power is wired from the motherboard. I am considering trying this out if nothing works. And you are running x86 instead of 64. I know 64 had some issues before with older hardware, i am not sure if this was fixed

You got your drivers from the correct website.

Connect your screen to AC power and test it.

while i don't have it installed at the moment(recent OS reload), i know for a fact that the egalax drivers work on a x64 system because i test all my screens on my win7 64bit laptop-- and 2 669's(1 resistive, 1 capacitive) have made it through the test with zero touch issues.


test the screen on a different pc first, and go from there..(i've got a couple other ideas, but too many things at once only make the issue more problematic)

ok guys i will take out the screen in 2 days when i get a chance. Thank you all for your help so far! I will make sure to post the problem when i get it solved so people with similar problems can solve it. I also ordered some cables that replicate the power cable going into the lilly, attached to some molex connector which once i get, i will hook up to my m3 atx. Thanks so far!

Ok guys i have been messing around with things and have some good news and some not so good news

So i got my cable that hooks up to the molex connector and to the lilliput. I used that to replace the 12 volt cig lighter socket cable because i believed that is where my issue was.

From what i have found is that this solves my problem about 70%. I do not have any more " usb not recognized or any error anymore " My touchscreen works most of the time, but there is exceptions where it wont. Sometimes I will go in the store quick and turn off my car ( it doesnt matter if i hibernate or shut down, or even just take my key out of the ignition ) and when i get back and start the pc, the touch won't responds again!!! So now it is easier to make it work. Just restart the computer once, or in some cases twice ( although this is rather annoying still as i gotta have my keyboard always laying around ) and sometimes i gotta wait about 15 seconds or so after desktop has loaded and it will work. So now basically, my touch works most of the time but still on occasion it won't respond and needs to be restarted. Good thing that there is no more need for taking out wires and putting back or usb devices not recognized. Also when the touch stops working, the egalax can't find it either, and after a restart or 2, it finds it and works.

Thanks everybody for the support so now for the next people that have this issue, remember the 12 volt from your cig lighter MIGHT give you problems like it did for me. Wiring it up to the computer solved my issues.

So now to tackle the next problem. Make my touch work ALWAYS even if shut down and start up. Any suggestions? I got far at least.

have you tried it on another pc yet?

i have tried it in a different pc way back when i just got my pc. I just started installing everything and it seemed to be working...Although i didn't have it tested for more than one or two days at the home pc....

anyway i have been thinking it could be the HDMI extension?

because i use the HDMI ---- USB/DVI cable that comes with the monitor but since my computer is under the rear seat, and the lcd is in the front, i need an extension and i use a HDMI MALE TO FEMALE 9' extension cable on the monitor side to connect the HDMI ---- USB/DVI cable.

Could this be the extra 30% problem? Since i fixed most of the issue anyway? Is there a single long cable i can buy from lilliput? Do i have to use extension on computer side? Both dvi+ usb extensions?

Or maybe try the other cable that came with the monitor HDMI ---- HDMI/USB although i like DVI since i can screw it in... maybe the dvi loses signal or something?

The only way to find out if the monitor has a problem is to take it out of your car and hook it to another pc, using the a/c power cord that came with the monitor. If you don't want to do that, we can't help you troubleshoot any further.

No, the length of the cable isn't the problem. I have a 12' HDMI cable and a 12' usb cable going from my pc, and those connect to the included Lilliput hdmi/usb to hdmi cable, and it works just fine.

You can't run extension cable on the monitor side thats a special made cable for the liliput monitors to handle the usb. you need to run 2 cables from the computer side to the lilput cable. I suspect this is your problem. Hope this helps clear it up SNO
