This sounds very familiar.
Lilliput touchscreen hdmi, confused
Just like SNO said, you must put the HDMI and USB extension cables (as I said in my previous post) on the computer side, and connect them to the included Lilliput cable.
Yes. Chris sells both DVI and HDMI 16' extension cables, designed to work with Lilliput screens. Is there a single long cable i can buy from lilliput?

Ok guys thanks for the help!! I ordered 2 cables. One is a male to female usb extension and the other is a dvi male to female extension. Today i used my car a lot and turned it off and on a lot and i noticed sometimes when it doesn't work, it would require a minimum of 1 windows restarts to work or 2 windows restarts max.
BTW you guys said you can't use the monitor side hdmi extension but i did and it works 7/10 times and the remaining 3 times you just gotta restart windows. So what exactly happens if you do use it like i did? Is my problem because of that? The screen responds great to touch and is calibrated properly. I hope those 2 extra cables somehow fix my problem.
i got my cable guys! It seems to be working 100% now! I only tested it for about 1 hour in the garage. I shut down the comp and took out the key and turned it back on and it works. Even when i just take out the key without shuttin downg, and turning it back on, it works. I shut down at least 10 times and took out the key with 100% success. Wow so both the POWER and the COMPUTER/MONITOR cables gave me problems. Funny because it worked perfectly sometimes with both wrong cables.
This makes me happy and i thank everybody who helped! Anyways i hope this helps others who have not found their problem yet. It is not the drivers, in fact i didn't even have to reinstall drivers when i was messing with this thing for the last few weeks. If you have the latest egalax drivers and your touch doesn't work always, then make sure you use another 12v ignition source or a molex connector in your computer and computer side usb and dvi/hdmi extensions, not the single hdmi monitor side extension! Overall this monitor is actually good when it is set up right. Touch doesn't have problems, and responds great and doesn't stop working randomly.
Now to tackle some other smaller issues.
thanks again!
ok guys so i drove the car to work and back, and at lunchtime to get food and everything and it works all the time now! I can confirm that this fixes all the issues and i thank everybody again for helping and hope this thread can help others some day! Anyways here is a video of my first turn on, after the right wires were put in. The car is a 1991 190E 2.6
