desktop layout (colors)for LCD Screen....

I am currently working on my carputer project and was wondering what you all have your desktop colors at to see better during the day/night? is there a good scheme that anyone uses?

Also, i heard people doing a "foil trick" to brighten the screen during the day and such.... how does this work? i did a search but could only find "do the foil trick!" and "what is the foil trick"... so i didn't get a straight answer.

Also, i will be posting my setup in the other forum just as soon as i can get the thing vinyl raped.

i like a black background. I have a bright screen and it helps not blind me at night.

guess nobody cares.... i'll keep searching.

like hij im really just playing with colors that don't put out alot of light at night. I never really have trouble with viewing just too much noise light at night.

I like the high contrast windows setting , but mappoint just went and used its own colours <SAD>.
