Separate touch panel from LCD - Lilliput EBY701

Can anyone quickly outline how to separate the assemblies? I would like to replace the LCD itself, or mask the dead pixels on the side of the screen without interferring with the touch panel.

EBY701 in Bybyte enclosure. I can easily take the boards off, but haven't dared disassembling the LCD/touch assembly.

The touch panel is attached with a thin DS tape. If you have a steady hand, you can separate the touch panel using a thin razor blade and gently (read very gently) slice the tape.

Make sure you do not insert the blade past the metal bezel of the LCD. This will help ensure you don't scratch the LCD.
