Thread: twin headrest monitor + dvd Headunit

    twin headrest monitor + dvd Headunit

    I tried a search but to be honest had no idea what to search under

    I would like advice on what i need to achieve the following


    I have 2 Eonon (cheapo) Headrest DVD Monitors and a Pioneer AVH-P350BT headunit

    I would like to be able to...

    Connect both headrest monitors to headunit (only 1 output on pioneer)
    Connect both headrest monitors together. (1 in and 1 out on monitors)

    That way i can put a dvd/ipod video on AVH and send to both rear monitors, or put a dvd in either monitor and play on both monitors.

    Is ther a product available that i can use as an auto switching video distrubtion box or something???

    I guess i need to be able to auto switch from 3 inputs to 2 outputs.

    im not sure if you have resolved this but:
    try buying
    *just video: ONE RCA SPLITTER CABLE
    * Audio and video: three RCA splitter cables off ebay

    most units give out enough of a picture voltage for two screens... otherwise you may need a dedicated video amplifier/splitter...

    (this one requires "more room" behind the unit... but what i would do is split it at the first headrest and take it across to the second headrest...)
