I got a shorter gooseneck with a portable CD-player mount...from some stereo store or walmart/kmart/target...
You can see a picture of it on my site holding my old 4"screen.
I think it was called Mr Bracket? But has a heavy lower mount with two threaded holes so you can put the mount on a vertical surface or on a horizontal surface. You can see by the picture that it is a stout item...maybe you can find one like that.
has anyone actually been able to get the touchscreen software to recognize the screen when its plugged in? I got 2 usb adapters, and i cant get them to work. I didnt see any drivers on the included CD, and i was able to get windows to see there was a usb adapter, and change the com port of it, but when i go to add controller, it says none found.

I have the newest drivers on my website, when you first install them, it asks if you want the USB support.

I wanted to use a goose neck, but I don't know if it would be stiff enough for a touchscreen.
Anyone use a gooseneck with a touchscreen?
dscustoms, when i install the ones from your website in XP, it just lists a ps2 option. any ideas? or did i download the wrong ones.

I'm not trying to be a pain, but when I went to the site, I see $429 for the screen. Clicking "add to cart" takes me to a page showing $399 but showing the retail as $499, thus claiming a savings of $100. As everyone can come through your main page and buy for $429, isn't the savings really $30, not $100?

Wow, I really just thought he was a jerk at first, but I’m quickly beginning to sympathize with defiler.
IT’S BEEN covered. It’s in another thread (might even be this thread)
Retail - AkA if you had to buy it from a big name store / competitor. The average price for these things is 500 - 600 USD its 100 compared to MSRP. But to bring this to a close - Really why does it matter?
You save money, even if its 30, you can make all your long distance calls a buck....
I agree with you , gizmomkr. I beginning to think defiler isn't the jerk either.
I hadn't thought about the "other thread" idea, and I'll give you that one, I should have looked. But after looking, my questions to DSCustoms still apply. Retail isn't "AkA if you had to buy it from a big name store / competitor", its the price someone will sell a good or a service to a consumer for.
DSCustoms sells these displays for $429 to all comers, making $429 his retail price. But when you click to get his "MP3" price, he uses $499 as a price so he can say he's saving you $100. He isn't. He's saving you $30 over his retail price. Now that may be an excellent price, and certainly appears better than his competition, but he isn't saving you what he says he is, and that's misleading at best.
Having said all this, if DSCustom's customers are satisfied with his price and his service, more power to him and them.
