<I cant believe Im going to argue about this> Yes, its the price "someone will sell a good or service to a customer" and the competition is selling it for 500 or more, so compared to them he IS saving you 100.00

At all times during the process of the sale the customer is aware of what the screen is going to cost them if they purchase it from this particular individual. Also note - IN ALL cases the site lists the retail price of 499.00, not only to mp3 board members, and as you will see, some sell it much higher.

Guess what else - He isnt even laying out the page himself- when you set up shoping cart software it asks you if you would like to list a retail / msrp- it then has a place for YOUR price, the software automatically computes the difference and shows the graphics, and the "savings" symbol as a feature.

If I want to know how much gas costs at the BP station , I dont drive to Exon, and ask the attendant how much I'm saving.

To further DRILL my point into the ground -
Amazon has a linksys wireless access point router listed here - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...onics&n=284716

If you look it up, Amazon lists the Retail price as 99.99 , they are selling the item for 69.99 and state you are saving 30.00 or 30%

I looked around and was able to find the unit at computerbrain http://www.computerbrain.com/cbisys/...tle=hubs&id=23
listed for 62.79 So it turns out amazon is just ripping me off. They arn't saving me any money! they listed a retail price, and I found one lower. Are you saying amazon is conducting a misleading add ?

here is someone selling the same LCD for 599.99 In that case your savings is 170 (im not counting pennies)
they tell you the regular price is 800 something.

The other thing you must account for is the 100 savings claim is on the overall site - the standard price being 429. dscustoms is saying the average price is 529, and he is saving you 100, if you are lucky enough to be a board member, he's actually saving you 129. and if your a moron and bought it here - http://www.electronics-pluz.com/xen7tftlcdvg.html he could have saved you 200.00

And honestly , I dont know why he does it because some many people keep nagging him about what he lists as the retail price, and not saying "gee, thanks dave for cutting us a deal" ARE YOU PEOPLE DENSE !?!?

IM jewish !! Do you know how cheap that makes me !? I still see the savings!

And yes, ALL of this WAS covered in another thread.

Wow, I cant believe I actually looked up all this just to make a point... I must be board out of my skull.

And its worth mentioning that I have ZERO affiliation with Dave or DS customs. I have been following this board for 3 years, and simply think he is offering a good product at a good price out of the kindness of his heart - Dont look a gift horse in the mouth!

Not that it really matters, but I can't turn that retal/sale price thing off in my shopping cart system, so I did what everyone else does and listed a higher retail. Which is about what they used to cost, except from me. BTW, it does say special sale pricing on the product info page, so my retail price is not $429, that is a sale price.

    Gozmomkr,

What started out on my part as an innocent question to DSCustoms has clearly pushed your buttons, and while that certainly never was my intention, it has been interesting.

But, as once again your arguments fail to persuade, and this "discussion" is obviously going nowhere, I'm done.

Who the **** cares whether he says he saved you $100 or 1000, it's still the cheapest place around.

and dscustoms, I understood the site the first time, some people are just dense

Sighting ignorance to standard practices / shopping cart features as reason to attack the chacter or business practices of an individual isn't right.

But geting back to the point... and my appologies to code3 :
Can you clarify what questions have gone unanswered ?

Is 7 inches really big enough to do most of what you would do in a car? Seems like a little small.

I have a 6.4" lcd right now and it's fine for DVD, GPS, winamp, etc etc

I just bought the 7" dscustoms screen so when that get's here (hopefully soon) I dont think I'll notice a huge difference in screen size but IMO I think that 7" is plenty big, unless of course you are like wanting to play video games?

7"has a nice fit, 8"also, any bigger isn't very beatiful in the car I think. Sins it is not a desktop a 7"display in your centre console wil do just fine in a car.
