Lilliput 669GL Touch Screen Controller Issue

Hi all,
Trying to set up my Lilliput 669 monitor. Currently using it with HDMI for video and USB for the touch screen. Image works fine and the computer can see the touch screen fine.

With Windows 7's default touch screen drivers (auto installed) the touch screen axis are inverted (change in x results in mouse movement in the y and vice versa) even after calibration. Not a problem, I'll install different drivers. I've tried both older touchkit drivers as well as the latest eGalax touch drivers and both install fine. I can calibrate and the test drawing feature lets me draw fine, works rather well.

But when I try to use the touch screen to press something in Windows or Centrafuse it won't register mouse movement or clicks. Windows shows 'USB Touchscreen Controller(Universal)' as a mouse device under devices which seems right as afaik it's emulating a mouse. I've also tried many different restarts, clearing old drivers and everything I can find/think of so thought I'd ask here.

Anyone got any ideas? The only other thing I can think of is a compatibility interference so will try a fresh install on another computer later on.

Did you try disabling the Win 7 Gestures and touch features?

Yeah, well kind of. When it's detected as a mouse device (with eGalax drivers) those features become unavailable automatically.

I also have the same issue, I have spent the last week trying to get my touchscreen to work, have tried a lot of drivers on both windows 8 and windows 7 64 bit.

Using standard windows 8 drivers the touch panel is in portrait mode and the LCD screen is in landscape mode. (if u touch top right, top left is activated, if you touch top left then the bottom left is activated etc etc)

So far my reaearch leads me to believe it is a driver issue, to simplify; the device is coming up as an HID compliant device with the standard windows 7/windows 8 drivers (all things can be done, swipes and gestures etc, however the x y axis issue renders the device unusable. Whislt any other variation of the thouchkit drivers makes the touchscreen come up as a mouse.

I have tried the following drivers as well. :-

Egalax drivers, from eeeti, (cd came with my lilliput, also tried newer versions for win7 downloaded from the website)

Touchkit Drivers directly from touchkit (seem to be the origional creators; correct me if I'm wrong)

Lilliput/Bybyte drivers from the respective websites.


All of the driver sites Are either down, are broken links or they provide a copy that registers the touchscreen as a mouse not an HID device.

And I have searched extensively for the mythical beta 64bit win7 touchkit/egalax drivers, all links seem to be down as well.
Even the drivers listed under the "almost everything you want to know about the 669gl Section are broken.

I have emailed all of the providers above and have revived no reply so far.

So I thought I Would try here and see if I had any luck.

BUMP! This issue is still around, and from other user online i see it is a big issue, has anyone got any ideas whatsoever??

I have the same problem, with the windows 7 drivers the x y axis are not inverted though, the screen itself is a lilliput 669gl in landsape, and the touchscreen itself seems to be in portrait, touch the top right and the top left activates, touch the top left and th bottom left activates etc etc.

It seems to be, like you say, that the touchscreen is recognised as a mouse once the egalax/touchkit drivers are installed. and is recognised as a HID comliant device when just using win 7 / 8 drivers.

eeeti website
touchkit website
bybyte website
lilliput uk/us/sa/se/au literaly every lilliput site i could find.

The links listed in the topic "Almost everything you need to know about the lilliput 669gl" are dead, and the touchkit drivers do not even recognise my screen as an input device.

I have been searching for over a week now

i want my 669gl to work like a normal touchscreen, with gestures and swipe, in either windows 7 or 8, i dont want a glorified mouse in my car, it is pants.

Any help at all?

Any one have drivers they think will work for a 669gl, on a windows 8 64bit machine or a windows 7 64 bit machine??

I have heard romours of a HIDeGalaxTouch driver suitible for 64 bit, however I have yet to find a copy of this file that will work for either windows 7 or windows 8.

Dear Sir,
I know this is an old thread, but this seems to be the only option i have. I have the same setup...how did you get them to install? It keeps telling me something about %winsysdir% is invalid...tried to create an environment varible "winsysdir" with a path of "C:\Windows" or "%windir%" but no luck...this happens when i try in compatibility mode with winxp sp3...this is the farthest i've gotten. thanks in advance
