Hey tft, I am not that far from you (I am sure you know where Grand Rapids is, I am in a subburb of GR).

I will try to get a picture of my current touch screen and post it if I can. I would love to get a touch controller that would be seen as a touch device by windows 7 and windows 8. I will likely still use windows 7 but a touch screen recognized AS a touch screen works much different than a mouse with windows 7 or 8.

I have had a busy week and haven't otherwise had a chance to do this.

Also, do you get into LDVS screens at all? If I gave you a pinout and cable information could you provide me with a LDVS capacitive screen? Also with LDVS screens how long can you make cables for them?
(I have an ARM development board that can display to them. I also can display to two displays at the same time off the same connector as well but I don't have a use for that. )

Perhaps I should be PMing you these questions I don't know. But do you have any HDMI touch screens with USB touch controller that is recognized as a touch screen and not a mouse? I have a motherboard I am using that will go into my truck that has dual HDMI outputs on it and I would rather not have to use an adapter. I will likely end up with 2 such screens in this truck. A 10" screen and I am not sure if I want to go 10" in the dash or 12" I may even be able to go 13-15 inch if I "toss" the vents altogether.
Another user on here has a similar truck he has a 12" screen in his dash here:

Well an update on the LCD I got. It does indeed accept higher resolutions. But apparently it will only do the native 1280x800 over VGA, which won't work for my application. It's pretty hard to talk to this guy lol, but I tried to see if there would be a way to change the firmware to support computer resolutions over HDMI. It seems it only supports 720p and 1080p over HDMI for some reason? Anyways it won't work for me so they are refunding my money and paying to ship it back.

Oh and this is what they told me, It definitely accepts 720p, I tried to tinker with powerstrip to get 1280x800 but I'm not sure powerstrip is working correctly in Windows 7.

I do hope that he does have the proper files. For the price it would be a good deal. Add the capacitive touch screen and the price is still good.

I'll also be interested in knowing when you get those 6.95" touch panels which are advertised on your site
    Thanks

    I see,

now that you tested it, could you tell us your opinion about the screen quality and controller board quality?

the screen is the OEM screen used in google nexus 7 by asus with same quality or it's a cheap chinese copy ?

    what about the controller board?

    Thanks
