Again, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
They have a 15" multi touch capacitive for 280.00 plus another whatever for shipping.
They do NOT sell 7" panels individually. They want a 3000pc order, and that is for I2C interface. They don't have any 8.00 adapters.
WTF? put the pipe down already.
tft_lcd_org,
Figured I'd give you a heads up. In addition to the config change I mentioned, it appears that the USB adapters vendor and product id's need to be added to the hid list. Once I added it there, it functioned proper.
ALSO, you may want to start telling folks (or do this yourself before shipping), but the screen is in TV mode on the HDMI port. To resolve this one must push and hold the physical menu button and then the screen switches into PC mode so overscan goes away. This was a big issue for me, and I'm lucky that I trusted a random single post I found buried in the google search.

next time try to use a search function , as you see , sold individually and IF you take the time to look properly you will see usb controllers
and please refrain form using insults , it might have been a better idea to ASK me before you went all bananas.
It might not clearly occur to you , but I am TRYING to help you.
For future reference, acting like that isn't going to make me wanna help you again.

I certainly know how to use a search engine thank you very much.
Let me tell you, I buy in large qty. from NJY. I use their cheap lcd controllers and other products when I rebuild video game and jukebox displays, kiosks, etc.
I have also purchased a sample of the 7" capacitive multi touch panel and it is only available in I2C interface. NOT usb.
Further, Christina, the nice lady I deal with over there assures me that there is no way I can buy less than 3000pc MOQ on the USB version, unless they piggyback a smaller order.
Problem is, to date they have not had a buyer of the MOQ on 7" USB.
I have been in this business since 1998, so trust me when I say you are certainly not helping me out at all.
They (NJY) do sell USB multi touch panel kits. They start at 10.4" and go to 17". And they charge a lot for them too.
(FYI my 10.4" is half what they charge)
I'm sure you want to help, and that is good. But please don't start arguing with me on a topic that I am well versed in.
Another FYI: none of your links work. They just go to ebay's home page.
As an extra note to you, I want to express a big thank you for going out of your way to build a few of these 7 inchers. You have no idea how much you helped me in getting this new prototype project I'm building actually going. The touchscreen is absolutely awesome. Your choice in controller and panel was spot on, they are the **** and work as advertised. I haven't pushed it beyond 10 fingers yet but it tracks them perfect.
Kudos to you, keep on doing what you do!
You are more then welcome! I am glad to hear your project is going in the right direction.
Since i only have 2 hands with a total of 10 digits, I too could only test 10 points of contact.
Not sure why 16 are available on such a small panel. I could understand on a large display like a 46" were 2 people could use it at these time but a 7"?
the joke amongst a couple of my buddies and i have been that the 7 inch touchscreen devices will all at most have 11 points of contact. 10 for the fingers and 1 for the porn. lol
alternatively, in this video it shows a pretty cool application for art classes.
