Yes.I'm having problems finding a device in my house that outputs 1280 x 800.but my laptop does but I can get it to see the lvds adapter.so I can't set the screen res.....
Alright well I started the physical install today. Fiberglassed a bezel from scratch over the dash in order to accomodate the huge screen. I just did phase 1, but next I'll be trimming, shaping, and creating the opening/mounting for the climate controls below the screen.
It's still a bit early, but this was the risky part. To get the screen mounted since it doesn't have any kind of bezel it comes with I taped and waxed it up and fiberglassed right over it. I hate using the real parts but sometimes there's no better way.
I'm looking at the same setup..was thinking I will flush mount the touch screen with my glassed up dash.could probably double side tape it in place with mine and the facia panal that will hold the screen is 1/3 of the dash and very easly removed.my last 7"screen was duble side tapped in and was actually very hard to remove.think I had to cut it off then peel both sides of the tape off
So I now have my chinatobby driver board and my 10.1 touch panel lcd.just did a test run with them both mixed together and success all works very well.I just need to solder the usb cable to the lvds connector on the back of the lcd panel and I'm good to go....so I now have a 10.1 ips multitouch panel with hdmi/vga(this i need)and auto reverse camera input.perfect setup I thinks!
I just hooked up my Chinatobby 8" panel and am surprised how nice it is for the price. The hdmi controller seems pretty good but the touchscreen is on a desperate module.
