Looks factory.. Makes me want to order one for my truck now...
Might just have to.. ;)
I had some computer issues so I am using my CarPC as a desktop at the moment but getting replacements so I can try getting this sucker back in the truck.
From the pictures it looks like you got the one with the black border?
Cheers guys.it took a week on and off to get it all glassed and painted but I'm happy.yep its got a huge bezel...screen is from a dell ST tablet or convertable.I will grab the measurements in a hr.
262mm x 179 mm is the bezel size screen is a 10.1
Great, thank you!

I don't think you're able to order them without the black bezel as it is part of the screen and you can see part of the traces for the touch embedded into it. I do believe their older screen they used did not have a bezel, but was a lower resolution.
I ordered my screen months ago (I think it's been 14 weeks) and I finally received it a couple days ago and went slash-crazy on my dash.
camo.b, your installation is very clean and the bezel works out very well for you. I too run centrafuse as a front end and the cap-touch is awesome for list scrolling now, huh? :) I saw your FM presets and I have similar, I thought you might live around me but then I realized our steering wheels are on opposite sides!
Mines mounted but I displaced the HVAC controls for the time until I make a slim panel to overlay the bezel of the screen. We all like pictures here, dont we?
Once I get some more buttons crammed in there I'll fill the gap between the screen and trim piece.
Having anything remotely touching the rear side of the screen is very bad idea. Initially I had light foam padding behind the screen but it caused the capacitive touch sensing to freak out. Support on my setup is only given from the top and bottom bezel, 3M double stick adhesive to some aluminum U-channel which gives clearance for the 12ga steel mounting plate. Absolutely no flex. This thing blows the pants off my old 7", 800x480 VGA CCFL screen. Very happy with this purchase. HDMI eliminates all noise issues. For the time being I have shorted the photo-resistor wires together to force max screen brightness. It's not too bad at night, but I might add a relay to toggle brightness with a headlight trigger instead of the photoresistor.
Nice install! Pics say soo much dont they.ill get around to posting some better ones soon.scrolling, panning and zooming love the screen.i am going to try the controller that came with the screen so i can have the auto dimming working.will still use my ebay one for vga and reverse cam but i will rewire the lvds cable so they share duties...ebay=video and chalks one for brightness control ....now i have a button mapped from the steer wheel/joycon to dim centrafuse, works fine but it could be a bit dimmer at night.
What skin and CF version are you running

I'm running Centrafuse 4.3.6, I believe it is the latest version. The skin I made myself, I used to just sit and hope people would make appealing skins. There were a few for 3.5, but 4+ it is barren. So one day I decided to blast around in photoshop. Just really a darkened clean theme with blue elements and edges. I'm lazy so I only skinned the main and media player screens. Thats why you never seen it on the forum. I have to remake the skin anyway, because a few elements are for the native 800x480, and I believe it slows down the interface when centrafuse has to upscale graphics. With the 10" I have so much more real-estate for the media screen, I'll try to abuse it. http://i.imgur.com/QJsMtFP.png http://i.imgur.com/hdLg8x7.png http://i.imgur.com/xa4mxKG.jpg
If you weren't using the controller that came with the screen, how are you displaying anything? Already got some LVDS board? The built in dimmer was kinda neat, but you gotta put that photoresistor somewhere for it to get beat on by the sunlight. I still think I'm just going to wire it in to just manually dim with headlight interaction, but unsure about brightness otherwise say for late night movies, lol. Cant wait to see it work in the winter months, I'm used to the CCFL backlight taking forever to get max brightness and with a lot of flicker! How do you plan to rewire the LVDS for composite/comp input? I was thinking the only way to get a backup camera working again would be to replace it with a webcam and have a centrafuse hotkey trigger to the cam app.
Ok, so I want one now...
HDMI with reverse camera and additional video input and USB based touch?
Does windows see it as a touch device so win 8 gestures work?
I want to order one right away now...
It all works as it should with win 7 and 8....you will need to load the ntrig multitouch drivers but they are nice light drivers.
Pm me if anyone gets stuck with the drivers.hate to say but skip chalkboards screen..and get one from ebay in hongkong...under $70 with free ship...and grab chinatobbys driver board.. total cost is under $130
