Any suggestions on which to look for? I am likely going to try a 10" wide screen.

    Thinking this one looks nice:

The trick to posting ebay links is to be sure you got the ebay item number. It's always a 12 digit number, and you can either just put the 12 digit number in the ebay search box, or use the address format below with the 12 digit number at the end.

Thanks So you'd use that with the chinatoby board? I think it may be a little big for my car, but I almost feel like 7" might be too small(although I'm fine with my AVHp4300 lol) so I'm thinking 8-9" chinatoby has bunch of stuff, I want cap. touch too

Hey camo.b, I replied to your thing but the post didn't get approved until it was buried pages behind. I'm not sure how the forum handles replies and wouldn't want you to think I ignored your question.

I'm lazy so I only skinned the main and media player screens. Thats why you never seen it on the forum. I have to remake the skin anyway, because a few elements are for the native 800x480, and I believe it slows down the interface when centrafuse has to upscale graphics. With the 10" I have so much more real-estate for the media screen, I'll try to abuse it. http://i.imgur.com/QJsMtFP.png http://i.imgur.com/hdLg8x7.png http://i.imgur.com/xa4mxKG.jpg

If you weren't using the controller that came with the screen, how are you displaying anything? Already got some LVDS board? The built in dimmer was kinda neat, but you gotta put that photoresistor somewhere for it to get beat on by the sunlight. I still think I'm just going to wire it in to just manually dim with headlight interaction, but unsure about brightness otherwise say for late night movies, lol. Cant wait to see it work in the winter months, I'm used to the CCFL backlight taking forever to get max brightness and with a lot of flicker! How do you plan to rewire the LVDS for composite/comp input? I was thinking the only way to get a backup camera working again would be to replace it with a webcam and have a centrafuse hotkey trigger to the cam app.

I ended up scrapping the chalkelect lvds board...never did get it to work apart from brightness control...I used a ebay board.it has auto scaling, hdmi, vga and auto av for reverse camera....works a treat...just no auto dimming.I will eventuality wire it to the headlights too..now I'm using a steerwheel button to dim via centrafuse...it does the job I guess

camo.b, I like your setup but I think I'm confused on what you ended up putting together. Are you using the chalkelect screen and the ebay board? Does the ebay board handle the touch?

If you want a reverse camera you have to use the ebay board from chinatobby.its probabyly a better option anyway as the ebay one does auto scale the display where as chalks does not....touch is entirely handled by the screen all it needs is a usb cable soldered to the lvds connector on the board....touch is usb powered so totaly separate to the driver board.
