I purchased the 10 and 15 model to mess around with for a few projects. Do you know if it is ok to remove or trim the tram on the 10in version? The black frame is a little too big to fit where I need it to go. Trying to figure out if it is part of the touch screen or just plastic frame cover that can be removed or cut

Risky id say.....the touch panel really only goes the the edge of the screen..mabee a bit past it but the glass is suppose to be gorilla glass i believe...could possibly just crack.

Thats a shame if it can't be cut. The frame makes it way to big.

For those of you interested in the screens, I would stay away from the ones bigger than 10inch. The view angles on them are pretty. Anything short of straight on results in washed out colors. If you do purchase it, go ahead and pick up a female to male HDMI extender as the control board has a male hdmi port.

The 10 inch one has fantastic viewing angles and is very responsive. I did have to flash the firmware to support multitouch as it came with single touch installed. It is a shame the fame is so big. It pretty much adds an inch border around the entire screen and has a random hole in the bottom of it (I am sure this is from some tablet that had a button there). Both boards come default with power from the ac adapter. You can change it to power by usb through soldering though.
