And as far as I know no one trying to order these screens has been misled or made promises to so they can not be compared... If you go to the website mentioned in this thread the website talks about problems and issues they are having. So until they show behavior that looks to be deceiving I wouldn't expect this thread to go anywhere bad.
Hopefully your questions about the 10" can be answered by the person that just mentioned he bought one and is testing it out. The information given to make the raspberry work with it should work with most other devices as well since it should be a simple HDMI interface assuming you are using that interface. I mentioned about the iOS display because I have seen mention elsewhere that the iOS machines do not display everything to the external display like android devices do.
Devices such as the raspberry need to be told what the device does where as windows machines and other machines can detect the hardware and set things accordingly automatically assuming the device has compatible hardware.
