Beware of Mobile Computer Solutions (mo-co-so.com), awful company, horrible service
This has got to be one of the worst-run companies I have ever dealt with. As far as I can tell, there are two employees working there. They are impossible to get a hold of if you have any issues. Basically, this company will take your money and ship your product on time, however any customer service issues after that, you're hosed.
I ordered a MiniTouch 7" monitor through them. This particular monitor has a bug or defect on the board that does not automatically switch to the reverse camera (only works about 1/3 of the time). I tried several different reverse cameras and wiring setups, even going into the factory menu to fiddle with settings, and did not work. I emailed them multiple times about this, got one or two responses stating they were looking into it, and then never heard back. Multiple emails over 1-2 months were not returned, and finally after calling incessantly, they said they are not able to duplicate the issue. I exchanged for a Lilliput monitor. They never asked for the original back, which is still sitting here.
Once the Lilliput was sent (it's been about 2 months since my original issue at this point), THIS monitor was defective. The mirroring mode did not work, which I needed since I was going to use the monitor upside down. Another 6-8 weeks of emails went unreturned, multiple phone calls, multiple excuses (we are busy, at conference, etc etc), and finally I get an exchange. Again, they don't ask for the defective monitor back.
At this point, I have sent no less than 20-30 emails, and called 10-15 times. I got 3-4 email responses total, and not ONE phone call. So I am sitting here with my exchanged monitor, which works finally thank god.
One MONTH later, I see a credit card charge for $157.50, which I did not authorize. No explanation as to what it is for. I send them an email, get no response. Next day, I have a UPS return label emailed to me (without explanation) that says '2X LCD monitor.' Apparently, I am supposed to ship the defective monitors back. Two, in one box. Except I have since moved and the monitors are across the country sitting in a closet.
Needless to say, I have filed a credit card dispute. I have still not heard back from them despite multiple emails and phone calls.
I was trying to continue to give them the benefit of the doubt and refrain from posting material online about them, but I feel like I need to warn the rest of the community. I am sure they will reply back and have multiple explanations, or somehow try and blame it on me. But if need be, I am more than happy to post all the emails and dates here to prove my story.
Anyways, BEWARE of doing business with this company. The products are fine, but if you have any issues, you can kiss your money and hours and hours of your time goodbye. Better off buying your merchandise through mp3car, ebay (at least there is a feedback system), or amazon.
